About Me

Hi, I’m Frank Kang, a potter inspired by the quiet rituals of everyday life. I create functional pottery designed to be held, used, and experienced—objects that invite a moment of pause in the midst of daily routines.

My work blends traditional Korean influences with the rhythms of island life in Guam, where I grew up. I often draw on shapes and techniques from Korean ceramics, like hyangari storage jars and tea bowls, while exploring textures, glazes, and forms that reflect the natural world. Whether it’s a mug for your morning coffee, a vase to hold a single stem, or a chimenea to carry incense smoke, each piece is made to be both beautiful and functional.

I work primarily with white and dark brown stoneware, crafting each piece by hand, shaping, trimming, and glazing with intention. Some forms are smooth and minimal, others carry subtle textures or patterns—but all are made to fit comfortably in your hands and your life.

Every collection is an invitation to slow down, to notice small details, and to create moments of ritual in everyday living. Thank you for exploring my work—I hope it finds a place in your home and your daily practice.
